Have you seen the Jesus Show? I’m sure you have. It’s not on TV. It’s not on Broadway. You can’t see this show in any media. Where you see it is all around us. You see it in the church, in families, and on the street. Judging by the world around us, the Jesus Show is alive and well.
What is the Jesus Show? It is when people play at religion for the blessing of others. It is when people use religion to push their personal or political agenda. It is when people act one way for one group of people, but live a different way in their hearts. It is when people call themselves Christians but don’t seek to live a life following Christ.
God doesn’t like the Jesus Show. He wants us to truly live for Him, not pretend for others. And someday Jesus will come again and the show will be cancelled forever. Today is the day to cancel it in our lives.
