Come, Lord Jesus, Come

Lord Jesus, come today. Come today into our lives and remind us of the joys of living. Remind us of gifts of health and life and give us hearts yearning to praise you. Come today into our brokenness and need, fill us with your Holy Spirit and bring healing to us physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Come today into our relationships, bringing peace where there is strife and filling us with love to share with others. Come today into our world and bring purity and holiness and restore us to Eden. Come today, Lord Jesus, into our lives in all ways and transform us. By your power, through your Spirit, with your word, transform us, weak and sinful, into the men and women your hand molded us to be and your heart longs for us to become. Come, Lord Jesus, deep into our souls and cleanse us from impurity and strengthen our wills with your will to follow you and to not turn to our own sinful, selfish desires. Come, Lord Jesus, come.Today, Father God, may our lives be set on becoming your disciples. Today, may we seek more your will than ours. Today, may we live with peace with ourselves and others. Give us hearts for reconciliation and restoration as we seek to recover the purity we have lost in sinning against you and against others. Forgive us, and give us your Spirit to actively forgive ourselves and others. Come into our souls and begin the eternal work of making us new through your Son, Jesus Christ. Continue to work on us, Lord, because we are far from where our hearts long. Begin in us new life today and help us live that life abundantly.

Come today, Lord, and fill this sanctuary with worship, that we may be one voice lifted in praise to you. Unite us together as we unite with the church universal, proclaiming Jesus Christ alone as our Savior and Lord and praying the prayer that He taught us saying:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
