Week 11, otherwise known as, “Spring Break.” Were you able to keep up? Even if you have to double up this week, take the time. Stick to it and you will be richly rewarded!
Two great stories in our readings this week – the continuing story of Joseph and the start of the story of Samuel. I love both of these stories for their reminder that God is in our lives even when we cannot begin to realize it. Joseph was lost in the recesses of an Egyptian prison when the story turns completely around and he becomes the 2nd in command in all of Egypt. Hannah was without child and distraught when God blesses her with a son, Samuel. It’s a continuing story of God working among us even when we cannot even begin to think that God is near. It is a reminder of the constant hope of living in God’s promise that He will watch over us if we will follow him.
Isaiah 59:21 “Isaiah 59:21 And this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the LORD, have spoken!”
God will never abandon us! Trust that He is with you, no matter what the world may be pressing onto you!
