Happy Easter!

100_04092.JPGWhat a wonderful Easter Sunday! We had a beautiful worship service today at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Watermark did a wonderful job and we had over 7,000 in attendance. It topped off a great Holy Week with six worship services and events over the course of six days. My thanks go to the many volunteers that made all of this possible.

Besides a great Easter service, Kayla had a visit from the Easter bunny. As you can tell by the picture, the chocolate bunny didn’t last a day. My guess is we’ll have little trouble getting her to eat dinner tonight (“No dinner, no candy”)

(Zeeb liked Easter too!)

Back from Disney!

mickey1.gifWe are all back from 4 (Krystal says pixie dust filled) days at Disney World. It was a great time and we were able to see everything we wanted and more. The crowds were extremely low (Howard was able to walk on to Space Mountain twice!) and the weather was very nice. Kayla had the time of her life. I think she quite enjoyed everyone calling her “princess.”

We’ve posted pictures in our new photo gallery. Just click on the “Disney pics” link on the sidebar to the right.

My Mom, the Clown

CS05 - 186-1.jpgYesterday, I went to my mother’s clown graduation at Katy Mills Mall. Yes, I said my mom is a clown – Hildegard the clown (named after my grandmother, her mom). Why would my mom go to clown school? Well, she’s fun and funny, so she’s a natural. But she also wants to get into Christian clowning and go around to children’s hospitals as a clown cheering the kids up and praying for them.

It may sound strange for a son to say he is proud of his mom, but I really am. She is an amazing woman and I am very proud of her. She is a great example of living faith, sharing God’s love in her own way in her own life.
